Job Description

NES Fircroft are working with a major Oil & Gas operator that is looking to add an Access and Infrastructure Civils / Structural Engineer to their Teesside Operations to support the Strategic Projects and FEL teams in the development and delivery of Building and Infrastructure projects and the development of new access solutions. The role will be a long term contract based position working Mon – Fri, it offers a strong rate of hourly pay which will be inside IR35 as such paid on a PAYE basis. To be considered for this role, candidates must have existing right to work in the UK. Key responsibilities a. Develop design packages for buildings and infrastructure projects (new/refurbish/repurpose/demolition) b. Develop design packages for a range of site access/egress solutions c. Lead/support relevant FEL studies d. Support the preparation of project and 3rd party scopes of works e. Participate in design/contractor tender bid analysis f. Participate in design and construction reviews g. Assist in the production of budgets and cost estimates h. Provide technical support to in flight Strategic Projects i. Provide quality assurance of 3rd party design packages j. Prepare planning applications and liaise with Local Authority’s k. Participate in design and construction reviews l. Contribute to risks reviews are risk assessments m. Advise/monitor key construction and health and safety legislation including CDM n. Provide Input into the project planning and scheduling o. Liaise with site/offsite construction / demolitions teams Competency Requirements • Degree educated in relevant Engineering Discipline (preferably chartered status) – Essential • Strong design engineering background in building construction, building services and demolition • Experience in oil and gas or Petrochem environment - Preferred • Demonstrate strong organisation and communication skills – Essential • Ability to provide innovative solutions – Essential • Strong understanding of CDM and other construction legislation and standards – Essential • Hold a Full UK driving licence and to drive company vehicles where appropriate – Essential • Appropriate Physical and Mental Capability to undertake the role – Essential • Experience of utilising SAP and MS Project – Preferred • Familiarity with existing customer Teesside plant and systems - PrefeNES Fircroft are working with a major Oil & Gas operator that is looking to add an Access and Infrastructure Civils / Structural Engineer to their Teesside Operations to support the Strategic Projects and FEL teams in the development and delivery of Building and Infrastructure projects and the development of new access solutions.
