You will be joining a privately owned real estate investment company that dates back 70 years to it's establishment in the 1950s. Now boasting a 6,000 unit strong £500m mixed-use portfolio spanning Greater London, with a small portion on the South Coast, there is a continued growth plan for the portfolio based on acquisitions, developments and conversions following a comprehensive asset management plan.
Your job will be to work directly with the MD of the business, implementing delivery of investment projects across the portfolio. Following identification of works, you will be responsible for overseeing development, conversion and regeneration projects across the portfolio, with values generally within the region of £3-5m value.
These will consist of commercial to resi and resi - resi conversions, new build mixed-use projects and demolition and regeneration of properties at the end of their lifecycle.
Your job will involve chairing initial briefings with key stakeholders and investors to establish project parameters, consultation with external consultants, tender management and contract administration, progress reports and delivery of projects to completion.
This project manager building surveyor position offers a highly competitive salary based on the current market, with annual remuneration set at £70-80k dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
In addition to this, you will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance in the range of 10-15%.
You will receive 25 days of annual leave + bank holidays and will be enrolled on a private company pension.
As you will be joining the team as a leading project manager / surveyor - you will be given autonomy and independence in your role, with room to grow into a senior management position, lead on recruitment into your team, advise on projects and strategies, and become a key member of the senior management / director team.
To be considered for this in-house project management job, you will need to be a chartered building surveyor with significant new build experience with values in the region of £5m.
You will have experience in either a consultancy environment or a private sector client side role managing new build projects from inception to completion.
Attention to detail, excellent knowledge of RIBA stages and confidence to manage specialist consultants and contractors throughout the construction phase will be essential for this role. Possessing strong CDM, building regulations and pathology skills will be a significant bonus for this position, so a building surveying bias is highly recommended for those joining this position.
The job provides a degree of flexible working, but presence in the office as well as on site is pivotal to the position, as you will be frequently liaising with colleagues and stakeholders on a daily basis, therefore being within an hour commute of the office will be and important requirement for this job.
