Seeking Commercial Manager with experience in Demolition projects, or interest in progressing [construction] career into Demolition. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive business with some exciting projects in the pipeline and continuous investments made.
Key role requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or the equivalent is preferable.
* Manage and complete PQQ`s for tenders. Visit site to establish site constraints etc, that may affect pricing strategy.
* Responsible for procuring competitive quotations, analysing results, and producing finalisation documents. Explore and present innovative techniques to reduce cost.
* Consolidate individual contract reports into monthly management accounts, working with finance department.
* Forecast and manage cash flow through submission and agreement of applications and final accounts. Consider/negotiate material/subcontractor costs, and cost allowances.
* Prepare commercial reports including Cost Value Reconciliations and cash flows.
* Establish and manage all post contract commercial and procurement systems and procedures.
* Work with senior management to maximise commercial benefit of all contracts and effectively manage contract variations.
* Establish procedures to meet required standards.
* Develop strong relationships with external clients, consultants, and other specialists.
* Be technically competent of the demolition process, or desire to develop if from construction background.

Further Person Specification:
* Knowledge of relevant demolition (or construction, with a view to developing demolition) health and safety policies and procedures.
* Estimator / QS experience.
* Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
* Be approachable and professional.
* Must possess excellent organisational skills, meeting deadlines, plan and prioritise workloads.
* Prior experience in a construction or demolition industry.
* Excellent communication and IT skills. Good ability with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
