Our client is Main/Principal Contractor, providing a range of stand-alone or fully integrated services in Civil Engineering, Building, Sports & Leisure, Demolition, Land Remediation/Restoration, and Rail. They've been around since 1955 and have steadily grown into a national contractor.
As they continue to grow, they're expanding their QS team to manage the new contracts they're securing.
Role
We are looking for an experienced QS to take on some unusual and interesting work. This role is subject to the Secrecy Act so you'll be working on high profile government contracts. Our client is also closing in on some contracts for HS2. You'll be reporting directly to the Project Commercial Manager.
Liaison with estimating to take responsibility of projects from contract award through to Final Account agreement.
Cost management
CVR reporting and forecasting
Reporting progress to senior management
Supply chain procurement
Review and compilation of supply chain contract documentation
Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts
Measurement, pricing and valuation of post contract variations
Producing and submitting applications for payment
Client facing contract administration across a number of forms of contract including the NEC3, JCT standard forms, as well as some bespoke forms.
