Due to continued success and rapid growth, The West Group are looking for two Building & Site Maintenance Support Assistants to join our team. We have permanent and 6 month contract positions available.

Excellent training and developmentWhat will you be doing?
Reporting to the Facilities, Health & Safety Manager, you will be operating within The West Group Limited buildings in Waterlooville and following group processes and procedures. Key responsibilities include:
Provide support to general buildings/site maintenance and cleaning as directed
Assist Refurbishments Supervisor and Skilled Labourer in renovations as required, including:
Building and demolition
Fabrication and decoration
Groundworks
Plumbing
Electrical support
General internal cleaning of buildings when Facilities Assistant is on leave
General weekly maintenance including tasks such as clearing of outside areas, drains (sweep, power wash etc.) and maintenance of all external green areas by way of strimming, clipping and weeding, as required
Other general maintenance tasks to include but not limited to:
General painting and decorating
General plumbing and carpentry work
Assemble, fix & repair of furniture, fixtures and fittings
Support Facilities, Health & Safety Manager with ensuring maintenance purchases and supplier costs are of good value for money
Accurate and timely recording of time and costs, management of time and costs to budget.
What do you need?
Our successful Building & Site Maintenance Support Assistant will be qualified to an adequate level to perform renovation and building maintenance tasks or significant experience in a similar role. You will also possess:
Knowledge of health and safety standards
Knowledge of cleaning standards
Team worker
Positive attitude
