Business Development Manager – Subcontract works - required in Essex GVR Solutions are currently representing a well established enabling and groundworks contractor, based in Essex, who are in the market for a Business Development Manager to join their sub-contract work team. The Sub Contract Business Development Manager (BDM) is to work within the existing sales and marketing team. The role will be focused on developing new relationships and business in the areas targeted by Evolution Directors. The BDM will be representing Evolution Group at client meetings, trade fares and events alongside the Directors and independently. It is expected that the business development manager will concentrate efforts on obtaining sub-contract packages to employ the group in one of its main trades, Strip out, Demolition, Site Enabling works, Civil Engineering, Ground works, diamond drilling and structural alteration/builders work. It is envisaged the main locations for obtaining these sales will be, tier 1 and 2 main contractor client contacts. The role will require a level of flexibility as the nature of the service being sold is varied. Key Roles & Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager: * Acquisition of new business for the Group, acquiring tenderers for project and using existing and new relationships to negotiate tender sums * Developing new relationships with prospective new clients * Develop and implement new marketing and sales strategy and plans for the next 5 years * Review customer satisfaction and feedback on live projects * Put in place systems for continued improvement and increased repeat business * Attend trade fairs and supplier events * Regularly reporting to the Directors * Develop a sound understanding of the Groups operations to enable efficient future marketing * Develop best practice procedures for marketing and customer satisfaction * Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop new business opportunities and track business development * Conduct research on competitors and ensure the Group is well situated in the market place * Ensuring the social media, web site and all company merchandise is current and suitable * Manage lead systems and data bases * Managing client profiles and data * Regular communicating the company’s positing in terms of workflow and leads to the senior management team Requirements: * Have a minimum of 5 year’s experience in business development/sales in one or more of the above trades * Proven track record in achieving sales targets * Be highly motivated, driven and organised * Have existing contact stream to utilise to aid success moving forward * Hold a full UK driving licence * Capable of compiling, generating and issuing computer based reports in word and excel If you meet all the Business Development Manager requirements above, then please get in touch
