Days – Monday – Friday – NO NIGHTS
£32k - £36k

The Company:
McIver Knight Associates have partnered with an engineering business who are a leader in their chosen field of products that they manufacture. Due to continuous expansion, they now have a requirement for an Electrical Engineer to join the company on a permanent basis to work a days-based position Monday to Friday with an early finish on a Friday and no nights.
Job Summary
The role requires you to be an active member of the engineering team across electrical, instrumentation, and automation (EIA) disciplines alongside mechanical as part of a multidiscipline skill set.
Providing demonstrated improvements to plant and equipment, alongside preventative maintenance and repairs. This is a new, exciting and empowering position that the company is seeking to fill.
You will be expected to cover all aspects of the lifecycle of assets, from design and installation of equipment; maintenance and response to break downs, through to decommissioning / demolition.
Ensuring machines, equipment and infrastructure on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose. This includes batch reactors, powder conveying, robotics, steam and thermal oil boilers.
You will be involved with the new design, installation and movements of existing machines.
Actively promote safe working practices and implement continuous improvements
Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and predetermined specifications
Fault finding and testing. Able to work without a detailed specification to determine the cause of the fault and undertake the most cost-effective solution to remedy the defect. This may require short- and medium-term actions
Role requires IT skills in scheduling, job planning, and raising capital and revenue budgets.

18th Edition Electrical Regulations
*
C&G 2391-02 or previous 2394/2395
*
PLC Programming and Maintenance – Mitsubishi Q/FX series desirable
*
Panel Building experience
*
Conversant with FMEA and capable to facilitate RCM processes
*
Manual Handling is expected but training will be provided
*
IOSH Working Safely or equivalent
*
Confined Space Trained desirable but training can be provided
*
Forklift / MEWP license desirable but training can be provided
*
Reliability Engineering Experience of Pumps / Drives / Conveyors
*
Experience of Pipe Fitting (Flanged / Threaded) and fabrication
*
Abrasive Wheels / Lifting Slinging
