An enticing opportunity has emerged within a family-owned business for a Technical Assessor to become part of the Technical and Compliance team located between Coventry and Birmingham.
This multi-site Group of Companies specializes in providing aggregates, waste management, and haulage services to the construction industry across the Midlands.
The company processes both hazardous and non-hazardous wastes from the construction and demolition sector for treatment and reuse. Consequently, they generate aggregates for sale back into the sector through their treatment processes.
Job Duties:
Assessing, classifying, and summarizing technical information for inbound and outbound waste in accordance with WM3 Technical Guidance. This waste is primarily generated from the construction and demolition sector, and assessments involve using site investigation reports with chemical analysis.
Collecting waste samples from the company's site for in-house and external testing.
Possessing an understanding of XRF and QED machines and being open to acquiring proficiency in their use.
Offering technical guidance, advice, and support to the commercial and operational teams through verbal and written communication, and occasionally on-site.
Managing incoming telephone calls from new and existing customers, subcontractors, and internal departments.Requirements:
Hold a degree or HNC qualification in Chemistry or a closely related field. While experience in the Waste Industry is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.
