We are currently recruiting for a Plant Fitter/Mechanic for a group of companies involved with waste management, demolition, and other related works. You would be working on repairs and maintenance for excavators, trucks, forklifts and other smaller diesel machines. This is predominantly a role based in the yard in Newcastle however some mobile works are expected for breakdowns. A works van kitted out will be provided for you to perform this role.
The main responsibilities of the Plant Fitter will include;
Routine maintenance of plant vehicles and machinery Repairs as necessary to ensure full productivity in the yard and for the machinery on sites.
The successful Plant Fitter will have;
A professionally recognised qualification in Heavy vehicle / Plant Maintenance and repair (NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent)l
Experience in a similar role within the last 2 years
