An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious professional to implement their expertise and experience as Health and Safety Advisor with one of the UK's leading demolition companies, who are based in the West Midlands.
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for setting a personal example, wearing appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment, and observing all safety requirements and procedures.
You will ensure that all projects are undertaken and completed with health and safety as the upmost priority, whilst advising Directors and Managers on all safety, health and welfare matters to ensure the company complies with its statutory obligations.
In the role you will monitor site health and safety arrangements and activities and make proposals to the Site Manager to ensure that all sites are fully health & safety compliant.
In conjunction with site management, you will develop and implement site specific safety and quality control plans and programs, resolving problems whilst ensuring that projects are completed safely and on time.
You will also produce Health & Safety Risk Assessments for all site staff, ensuring safe working methods are always adopted as well as conducting health & safety inspections and site audits and recommend remedial actions.
The Health and Safety Advisor will also advise the Health & Safety Manager immediately of all incidents under RIDDOR in accordance with company procedures.
Salary for this opportunity is between c£45k plus pension and other benefits including a company car, pension and training & development.
In order to be considered for this role you must have relevant experience in construction or demolition processes.
