Would you like to be a part of Nuclear Restoration Service's (NRS) challenging mission to safely and successfully manage the UK's civil nuclear legacy on behalf of the nation? NRS currently has a complex portfolio of projects across 11 decommissioning Sites with more Sites due to be added to the portfolio in the near future. This is a unique opportunity to join the Strategic Planning Team tasked with developing and maintaining long-term project plans required to take one of those sites, Hinkley A Site, from its current state of decommissioning to the final end state.
Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) is the new brand of Magnox Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations Berkeley, Bradwell, Chapelcross, Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A, Oldbury, Sizewell A, Trawsfynydd and Wylfa, and research sites Harwell and Winfrith. NRS is also responsible for electricity generation at hydroelectric plant Maentwrog. As a division of NRS, Dounreay is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development.
About you
You will be a confident user of P6 with detail planning experience. However, this position is a little different and leans more heavily toward project controls. This means you will need to demonstrate commercial experience that takes in change management, cost control, and risk management along side your planning experience. Your role will be one of oversight so you'll also need to be confident in engaging across multiple levels and projects, and be comfortable in your own initiative.
