About The Role Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Contract Manager to work on our SSE Contract contract in Southern England. As a Contract Manager you will report the Senior Contract Manager and will be part of our Senior Management Team who are responsible for safe installation of High Voltage plant and equipment within the SSE footprint MES is proud to have entered into a framework agreement with SSE delivering substation build and refurbishment works across the East of England including design, project management, on site cable installation, building construction, jointing, switchgear installation, bunding, commissioning, decommissioning and demolition. As a Contract Manager your duties & responsibilities will include: Provide leadership and general support to the site delivery team Represent the company in correspondence and liaison with the client in meetings Provide Commercial/Programme Support   Ensure EW’s/CE’s are submitted and actioned  Ensure end of life forecasts are completed and reviewed regularly   Assist with identifying opportunities & risks  Attend Site Progress Meetings for their allocated sites  Ensure Incident reports are produced when required  Ensure H&S Files are produced as per programme Review contract WPO pre signing Assist in Project/Tender handovers to project team Build / adjust project programmes Manage the welfare of their reports Interview and recruitment of permanent operative staff Review Appendix B’s of new projects Assist in the scoping of new projects If required, take on PM/SM duties on sites under their charge to cover absences Ensure full compliance on projects with all Morrison procedures and current legislation Planning and programming of current and future works Involvement with Cost Value Reconciliation Subcontractor procurement and monitoring Long lead Material procurement Identification and engagement of Sub Contract labour Compiling sub-contractor tender packages Ensure adequate staffing is available to deliver projects to programme Produce weekly operative programme Escalate/resolve design issues raised on site Provide input into the design, estimating and tender process Skills & Knowledge Requirements: Contract Management experience of multiple sites in the High Voltage Electrical sector NEC Contract Experience Experience of working and managing persons on the 11kV to 132kV High Voltage Distribution network Experience of managing and installing switchgear and equipment in the Primary and Grid environment Knowledge of the CDM regulations and acting as Principal Contractor Qualified to HNC / Degree Level in Electrical Engineering Strong Leadership experience  Commercial awareness Bid management experience Effective communication skills Knowledge of budgeting, estimating and cost value reconciliation Computer literate Knowledge of contract documents and specifications Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety and Environment A full Driving License and willingness to travelWhat’s in it for you? 25 days' annual leave plus 8 days' bank holiday Annual bonus Pension scheme Life Assurance Private health care                                            Company car/ car allowance and fuel card      About The Company M Group Services delivers a range of essential infrastructure services within the water, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors in the UK & Ireland.
