The Role We are looking for an experienced, hardworking and ambitious individual to join our technical team at our Nottingham based offices. The successful candidate will be required to prepare initial quotations and follow-up reports following the inspection of various structures which may include but not limited to; industrial chimneys, masts, flagpoles, steel structures, church steeples, and all associated working at height equipment such as personal fall protection/restraint systems, handrails, eyebolts and ladders. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to build and maintain your own client base whilst establishing good working relationships. You will be combining strong technical skills with excellent people skills and have the ability to work as a team as well as independently under minimal supervision. The role requires commercial awareness and good industry knowledge. Working hours Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm. Essential Criteria * At least 2-3 years’ experience in working within the steeplejack construction industry * Working knowledge of industrial chimneys, masts, flagpoles, steel structures, church steeples and working at height equipment * Experience in working at height * Good understanding of working at height and health & safety regulations * Good working knowledge of construction methods, materials and legal regulations * Experience in estimating and report writing * IT Literate – strong MS Office skills * Professional and reliable Desirable * Degree level qualification or equivalent * Well established in an estimating role * Ability to generate new business * Membership of a professional body Perks * Contribution Pension scheme * Generous annual leave allowance of 31days (including bank holidays) increasing with service * Fortnight Christmas closedown * Parking facilities available * Excellent public transport links * Friendly and supportive team * Health Assured EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) * Fully paid training including the renewal of any expired qualifications Salary negotiable depending on experience.
