Project Engineer - required to join a well-established House Builder in the Cambridgeshire area. The Civil Engineer will be joining the growing Technical department assisting with design and maintaining technical support to all regional departments and site based teams to enable the region to achieve its objectives and agreed goals.
The Civil Engineer will ideally be Degree qualified however a HNC with experience working for a House Developer would be considered. The Civil Engineer will also have experience with demolition, site clearance, road and sewer infrastructure works, utilities, external works and other construction related matters on a variety of residential housing schemes. The role of Project Engineer is to manage the engineering design from land appraisal through to construction issue.

Project Engineer Position Overview
Preparation of Land Appraisal Viabilities
Advise Land Dept on Technical viability of new sites
Understand and promote Health and Safety.
Undertake the Designers responsibilities under the latest CDM regulations
Interpret Geotechnical and Environmental Reports
Prepare design solutions for initial road and sewer infrastructure
Liaise with Local Authority Building Control to resolve technical and design issues.
Ensure all technical approvals/agreements for section 38, 278, 104 and 185 agreements are secured.
Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and Statutory Authorities
Project Engineer Position Requirements
Engineering related qualification with minimum HNC
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD
Building Regulations Legislation
Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and CDM
Experience of engineering and development within housebuilding sector
UK Driving Licence
Project Engineer Position Remuneration
Salary £35K - £45K
25 days holiday
Pension - 5% employee / max 10% employer
Death in Service - 5 years
Annual Medical, Death in Service, Sick Pay, Share Option Scheme
Bonus - 10% max depending on group targets set
