Job Description
Site Agent - Permanent - Major Civil Engineering Contractor
Site Agent required to join a leading civil engineering contractor working on an exciting civils project in West London. Works include highways, drainage, service installation and ground works.
This is a permanent opportunity for a site agent to join a contractor working as part of a major infrastructure project in West London. You will manage the engineering works on site and focus on delivery of the programme all the way to handover at the end of the project.
Reporting to the project manager, you will manage a small team of engineers on site.
It is essential that you have previous self delivery experience and managed a team of engineers delivering the works on site. Ideally having worked for a tier 1, main contractor within the rail and civil engineering sectors!
Early stage civils experience on similar major projects is essential. Experience managing a variety of packages including groundworks, drainage, reinforce concrete, demolition etc is essential.
This is a permanent opportunity.
You will be based on site in West London.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Managing a team of engineers
Procurement / ordering of materials
Quality Control of the works / Health and Safety
Production of weekly rolling programmes
Providing support to site engineers
Management of site activities
Progress reporting
Producing quality assessments
Completing health and safety inspections
Dealing with design issues
Management of sub-contractors.Candidate Requirements
Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
PTS is adventageous, not essential
SMSTS or SSSTS is advantageous The successful candidate will have a proven track record in civils and rail, be confident to work on their own and be available asap.
