Operations Manager – Demolition and Substructure London – Projects throughout London £80,000 - £100,000 + Benefits About the opportunity: My client is recruiting permanently for an experienced Operations Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Operations Director and Managing Director in leading and managing complex inner city centre demolition and substructure projects with values up to £20M within time, budget and with health and safety at the forefront. As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for the complete life cycle production of several projects, from pre-construction phase through to completion, meaning overall accountability for project team management and delegation; programme delivery; client and contractor relationship; financial control and resource planning. Much of their work is secured due to repeat business and package values generally range from £2M - £20M. As a multifaceted contractor, their core areas of expertise include dismantling, temporary works, façade retention, structural alterations and substructure packages and current turnover stands in excess of £55M. About the requirements: In order to the considered for this senior opportunity, it is vital you have proven experience of working within the demolition / enabling works sector, whilst employed by a subcontractor / principal contractor in the South East. Professional experience must demonstrate success in managing complex inner city centre projects with minimum values of £2M and you must be able to demonstrate a stable career history, holding each previous appointment for a minimum of 3 years. You must be degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar and whilst it is preferable to have worked at Operations Management level previously, my client is open to considering an experienced Senior Project Manager who is keen to step up to this level in the near future.
