Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Bristol Job type: Permanent Salary: Negotiable to £70,000 (DOE) + package The company: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an award winning, 5 star housing developer, building beautiful new homes across the South of England. The Role: As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be the commercial lead for prestigious residential projects in the South West. Duties will include: Managing and driving subcontract procurement Establishing and monitoring subcontract resources Identifying risks, gains, areas of design input or potential value engineering Producing and issuing accurate and timely CVCs Producing comprehensive subcontract orders; managing their return and completion Administering Subcontractors accounts Preparing, agreeing and issuing valuations in accordance with contract requirements. Producing Contract Sum Analyses and cash flow forecasts, ensuring a positive cash flow is maintained Attending and actively partaking in design meetings, client meetings and internal team meetings Managing the client’s final account, inclusive of delivery and agreement of contract variations Responsibility for cash management of projects, by minimising costs and maximising value through proactive analysis and facilitation of works packages Managing the contract finishes schedule, review and evaluation of specification costs and alternatives Control and accurately report cost together with future financial projections Work in partnership with all departments within the business Managing other members of commercial team Managing, training and supporting a trainee surveyor About you: Relevant construction related qualification such as Degree / HNC / MCIOB Strong commercial background, ideally gained within a reputable main contractor business Previous exposure to residential new build or RC frame projects Experience commercially managing projects £35M+ Excellent knowledge of JCT Design & Build contract types Minimum of 6 years postgraduate experience   Strong communication skills Inspirational leader with previous team management experience What's in it for you?
