Asbestos Surveyor, Thornbury, Gloucestershire £24,000 - £30,000 Car Allowance : £250 p/m Working Hours: Monday - Thursday . 07:25 - 16:00 The Role A new position has opened for an Asbestos Consultant in the Gloucestershire area to join a specialised multidisciplinary consultancy. The role will see you working on a static power station which is in the midst of a major face-lift. You will be primarily working in the Gloucestershire area making this a static role and home based role if you are local or living in or around the area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Asbestos Surveyor to further progress their career by joining one of the industry's leading testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world. The role is required to carry out large complex industrial surveys on an electronic tablet based system as part of a team on nuclear sites relying on your experience and knowledge to service client requests. This role will take an active role in the QA system and ensure that a high standard is maintained. The role will see you performing the following duties: Key duties include: Provides technical and legislative knowledge , and supports client and business requirements for asbestos surveying and asbestos management Is accountable for the accurate and timely release of data and certification to clients including technical review as acceptable but will be expected to propose guidance for review in non-routine situations Oversees more complex technical problem solving activities. Interacts with customers on technical and legislative issues and questions Provides input and support on business development opportunities with new and existing customers Able to lead asbestos survey work up to industrial refurbishment and demolition surveys competently and without significant guidance or supervision. Takes initiative and, in most cases, does not need to wait for further instruction. Able to decide on and implement appropriate methods and protocolsThe Client This multidisciplinary consultancy is a global force in the compliance standards and testing fields, and have won numerous awards in their field. As a result we are looking for motivated and career focused individuals with following skill set: P402 minimum but P403 and P404 certificates would be advantageous.
