Quantity Surveyor – RC Frame / Groundworks / Civils
About the company: This company is a highly regarded and respected privatised specialist sub contractor within Groundworks & RC Frames that have been established for over 30years. Starting out as a Plant Hire contractor, they then moved into small groundworks packages and had a turnover of around £30m before moving heavily into concrete structures back in 2003. Since then they have established themselves as one of the strongest sub contractors in the South East able to deliver the all in one package for their clients, using all their own plant, and having the knowledge and experience to deliver all the demolition, groundworks and frame effectively. Current turnover is £80m, 70% of this is now structures.
They have immediate opportunities throughout the South East for Quantity Surveyors to help manage a large portfolio of works for a well known client. You will work on a variety of Civil Engineering projects but mainly RC Frames & Groundworks ranging from £1m to £10m. You will be responsible for subcontract procurement, payments, variations, valuations and forecasts, cost and value reconciliation, cost reporting and handling claims and must have worked using the NEC type contract.
You are likely to have obtained a minimum of an HNC in Quantity Surveying and may have little experience or lots of experience in a Quantity Surveying role or perhaps you haven’t been to university but have gained all of your knowledge by experience.
We are seeking commercially minded individuals who work well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are a must, as are a high level of numeracy and a good working level of I.T
