Contracts Manager - Regional Building Contractor (Career progression opportunity) London Bridge / South East Permanent Circa £70,000 - £75,000 plus package Start Jun 2021 This well run, and financially stable regional contractor has a full order book for 2021, and is looking to expand its team accordingly. The company carries out new build, & large refurbishments across a range of sectors up to a project value of circa £7m. Sectors include commercial, residential, education, sport & leisure and automotive. The company has a requirement for a contracts manager who has the right drive, enthusiasm and longevity with previous employers, to join the team. Typically, the Contracts Manager will be expected to manage 2 /3 projects at any one time, allowing exacting attention to detail, absolute commitment, and a pro-active approach. Generally the role will involve a day at the head office, and other days visiting sites. The contracts manager would initially look after two projects, as follows: •Car dealership in Essex. £1.5m, part demolition, refurbishment and new build steel frame extension •£3m mixed use residential scheme in London - Design & Build - 15no units and 2no commercial units This would suit someone that is perhaps lacking career progression with their current employer, and is looking for that next step in their career. Full support will be available from very experienced and dynamic company directors. Typical responsibilities include: •All aspects of Programming •Construction Procurement •Planning and Site Logistics •Health & Safety planning •Liaising with Clients, Architects and all Design Team members •Collaborating with Architects and Designers Working Drawings, Client Approvals etc. •Pre-construction interviews •Managing and motivating Staff and Site Teams •Client Development and liaison Experience / type of person: •Ambition •Presentable / client facing •Track record of time spent with previous employers (not necessarily as a contracts manager) •Degree (beneficial but not essential) •Demonstrated career progression and seizing opportunities presented to them •Contractual awareness •People management skills •Main contracting experience If this contracts manager position in London sounds of interest, or you just wish to have a confidential about your current situation, then please feel free to email roberta @borneltd .com.
