Quantity Surveyor Essex £50,000 - £70,000 + Benefits About the company Our client is a specialist subcontractor based out of their offices on the outskirts of Essex undertaking technical projects including structural alterations, complex basement construction, groundwork, RC frames, demolition, underpinning, piling, facades, glazing, brickwork among others on super high-end residential schemes. Our client is also renowned for their retention of staff with in-house development and career progression paths on offer throughout the business. With a loyal client base, the volume of repeat business they are very proud to have worked with some of the best design teams, structural engineers, architectural practices etc, this means that many potential issues are foreseen and can be dealt with in the early stages of these schemes. These loyal clients have come from their ability to deliver these works on plan and in budget even on the most complex and technically demanding projects. About the Opportunity Our client is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a specialist contractor based in Essex. This role will involve the usual commercial management duties of reinforced concrete (RC) frame packages, basement construction and associated groundworks. The successful professional will report to the company’s commercial director and will be responsible for a group of projects (3-6) in and around London. Individual package values will range from £1 million up to £10 million each. About the benefits and rewards For this permanent position, we are targeting candidates looking to earn anywhere from £50,000 to £70,000 per annum however specific salary will be defined upon experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered; travel allowance OR company vehicle in addition to standard benefits associated with a successful company (bonus scheme, pension, laptop, phone etc.). About the requirements To be considered for this position, the individual must be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar and must have a number of years’ worth of experience in this type of role whilst working for rival RC frame or groundwork subcontractors. This role is suitable for a motivated and dedicated individual who works well as part of a team and is able to adapt to this fast-paced environment
