Salary Details: Competitive We are looking for self-motivated Graphics and Digital Media Designer to work as a part of our Communications Function, primarily supporting the Graphics and Brand Manager. The role will be responsible for the creatively developing both printed and digital materials whilst maintaining and aligning with our brand standards and visual identity. Main Responsibilities * To support the Brand and Graphics Manager with developing and delivering approved creative deliverables, this will include both printed and digital graphic design solutions. E.g. Infographics, booklets, illustrations, PowerPoint presentations, posters, animations, GIFs, videos etc * Working with key stakeholders to ensure visual consistency across all of our digital and physical working environments * Supporting with creating and developing digital design solutions for use on our intranet, website and other digital communication platforms * Subject Matter Expert for providing guidance and direction on how best to visualise data, information, and key messages for the various target audiences and appropriate platforms * Competent in proofreading, and where required, supporting the Communications team with copywriting throughout the design process * Engage in a culture of continuous improvement through creative problem solving, design feedback, lessons learnt and best practice, and innovative initiatives * Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters * Build trust and a positive legacy both internally and externally through consistent and clear creative communications within SCS, with our partners companies, supply chain and HS2 ltd * Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project.The Ideal Candidate * Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification * Must have digital media and design experience * Ability to create content that is creatively relevant and tells and clear story * Ability to develop technical information into digestible and engaging visual material suitable for both the channel (digital/print) and the target audience * Must possess a strong portfolio with clear understanding of balance between typography, colour and composition * Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) * Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects and Adobe Premier * Must have video editing skills * UX experience is also preferable * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple stakeholders and levels of leadership * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral * Competent to prioritise, to work to tight deadlines and adaptable to change * Confident and able to be assertive / authoritative to maintain SCS brand and narrative if challenged by others * Some level of analytical skills for examining information, trends and data in order to help create data visualisations/infographics, supporting quick decision-making. * Comfortable to set and complete own goals and initiativesAbout The Company About us: The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 Main Civils Contracts which include both Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels). The combined value of the contracts is around £1.8billion with the works due for completion in 2025.  Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
