Principal Geo-Environmental Consultant- Durham
Our client has presented an exceptional opportunity for a Principal Geo-Environmental Consultant to join their well-established team in Durham. The company specialise in a wide range of services, including geo-environmental consultancy, demolition, remediation, and drilling. The role will involve handling of important projects, as well as assisting the Managing Director in providing environmental consultancy services to clients. The candidate will have excellent communication skills as well as a strong academic background in the relevant field.
Key Skills and Experience required:
Degree in a relevant subject e.g. Environmental Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, etc.
Knowledge of Contaminated Land Risk Assessment
Knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering
Chartership with a relevant professional body or working towards
Site Investigation experience
Project Management experience
Strong client liaison and engagement experience
Business development experience (Desirable)
Ten years of experience in this field (Desirable) Typical Duties in this role:
Factual and interpretive report writing including Desk Studies, Ground Investigation Reports, Remediation Strategies, etc.
Engaging in client and colleague liaison
Mentoring junior staff
Project management focusing on financial performance and technical delivery
Design and implement contaminated land site investigations to deliver results within a maintained budget
