Responsible to maximize and protect the company’s commercial position by management of the commercial and administrative functions in respect of a project and provision of commercial support and guidance at various phases of a project as required. Reporting to the Change Lead.

* Maintenance of Register of Contractor’s people, grades, timesheets * Provision of commercial and financial reporting information * Ensure compliance with Project standards and procedures in respect of Commercial activities * Subcontract procurement and management * Ensure compliance to Fair Payment Charter, reporting and performance * Control of project documentation and records * Management of commercial staff * Ensure compliance with insurance claim procedure and handle insurance claims * Liaison with Commercial and Technical Staff * Ad hoc duties as job requiredRole Duties:
* Liaise and assist with internal and external stakeholders. * Schedule development and management * Resource planning and management * Cost management * Risk and Opportunity management * Development and production of reports on progress, critical paths, resources, schedule risks and any other important issues. (Inclusive of delay analysis) * Input into the capture and monitoring of project risks, issues, mitigations and resolution * Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Policies and maintenance of revisions/changes. * Processes of statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are made clear and implemented on the project. * Review opportunities, mitigations and change across area central; inclusive of management of the appropriate notices and Early Warnings through CEMAR. * Instigation, management and chairing of risk reduction meetings. * Collation and management of squad reviews throughout the lifecycle of the events raised. * Narratives that support said events, with sound engineering knowledge. * Confidence understanding each event, being able succinctly promote and sell the position to the Change Lead and other stakeholders/ Area Senior Leadership Team. * Supporting the team(s) in collating the facts/ evidence to support. * Advise all parties on strategy, making recommendations on how our client’s specific objectives can be achieved in parallel to the Contractors requirements. * Collaborative working with the Client and SCS OMC Team. * Reporting to the Area Change Lead. * Co-ordinate and drive operational and commercial input into change. * Pricing change from first principles. * Take-off’s and Bill’s of Quantities preparation in accordance with methods of measurementThe Ideal Candidate
* Degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related construction subject * Relevant experience in large scale projects, preferably Civil Engineering Contracts. * NEC contract experience * Commercial experience within the construction industry * MRICS desirable * Experience working on large-scale Rail/Infrastructure projects * Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation * Relevant CSCS CardAbout The Company

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 Main Civils Contracts which include both Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels). Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
