Bid Manager – Asbestos Salary: Negotiable (depending on previous experience) Kent About the company: Our privately owned client who has regional offices throughout the UK, is a multifaceted civil engineering contractor who holds over 30 years proven experience in demolition, asbestos removal and general infrastructure. Within the asbestos removal division, this contractor works on a range of projects, varying in scale and complexity, to include minor works of residential properties through to large scale nuclear schemes. Over the last several years, this client has grown to be one of the largest asbestos removal contractors in the UK. This client has an excellent staff retention level which has been gained by constantly focusing on improving standards. About the opportunity: Due to continued successful growth, our client is recruiting permanently for a Bid Manager with Asbestos experience to support the commercial team and work in conjunction with the Business Development Team on pre-qualification / selection questions and all invitation to tender submissions. Based from the office in Kent and reporting to the Business Development Manager, as a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing several bids at once in a demanding and fast paced environment; proof reading and rewriting inbound tender information; creating visually attractive client presentations for pre/during/post tender period; maintaining and improving the bid response library, including reviewing post tender submission client feedback and managing the end-to-end bid process to name just a few duties. About the requirements: In order to be considered for this opportunity, it is essential you hold a minimum of 3 years’ experience within bid writing or bid management which must have been gained whilst working within the asbestos industry in the UK. As a Bid Manager you will be able to write a variety of responses and documents, demonstrate good use of English and have the ability to convert draft notes into proposals. Due to the nature of the opportunity, you must be able to show the ability to work to strict deadlines within a pressurised environment, hold excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate bid requirements to multiple stakeholders, be fully proficient in Microsoft packages and adobe packages and hold a full UK driving licence. About the benefits / rewards: For this exciting opportunity, the salary on offer has been left negotiable as the specifics will depend on previous experience and suitability. Outside salary, working hours are 08:00am – 17:00, you will get 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company phone and laptop will be provided, you will be enrolled on to the company contribution pension scheme and employee ownership trust.
