Construction Project Manager
Social Housing Projects (Change of Use / Extensions, Loft Conversions)
£45,000 to £47,500 + Mileage Allowance + Bens
We are currently seeking a knowledgable, motivated and well organised construction professional to undertake the role of Roaming Project Manager to manage fast track residential refurbishments across Greater London, for the Social Housing sector.
You will be responsible for the initiation, management, and completion of multiple residential projects at any one time. The work streams will involve demolition, re-routing of services, structural additions and changes, loft conversions, extensions, quality control and contractor management including Health and Safety on site.
You will undertake several site surveys during the day, reviewing the contractors on site progress and updating the project management system via use of table and phone, updating the excel project tracker and uploading latest site photo's.
Overcome unforeseen changes to design by liaising with our in house structural and Architectural teams.
Manage subcontractors on the sites, supporting and pushing them to meet construction deadlines - you need to be able to handle several of these schemes at one time, with travel to sites on daily basis..
Compile site health & safety files as well as completing material requisitions and coordinating trades.
Collate all compliance documentation from the contractor in order to obtain building control sign off.
Report to and Liaise with the Head of Projects and the rest of the PM team.
The role involves liaison with Architects, Structural Engineers and Building control.
You must be happy to be mobile and have ability to travel between multiple sites.
You will be competent in using (basic) excel and generally computer literate.
This role requires someone who is knowledgeable of residential building regulations and practices along with strong contractor management skills.
