Job Description

Recruit 2 You are working with our new client based in Alfreton, specialist supplier to Rail, Construction, Demolition, Recycling, and Mining Industries, by providing hire, sales upgrade, and repair services for, piling & ripping equipment, road rail, and construction equipment and quality used equipment. Construction / Rail Plant business requires experienced materials & parts person. Stock Control and some sales UK and International with shipping. Responsible for ordering the acquisition of goods and services needed by the company. Duties include the ordering of materials, supplies, and/or equipment, arranging packing, despatch, and delivery. The role includes setting up of Electronic Jobs & Purchase orders within Microsoft Excel and checking all stock deliveries and timescales Responsibilities • Raise Job Numbers for goods/machines/equipment and parts required by managers and fitters • Prepare / process requisitions • Raise Purchase orders for Goods required • Previous experience working with Outlook mail, Excel spreadsheets, and word applications are essential to the role • Source Quotations and provide the most cost-effective and suitable materials ( must be from approved suppliers RISQS Network rail approved for critical rail supplies • Oversee vendors that supply the company with the items it requires to operate properly • Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and source competitive quotes to meet Company requirements • Inspect/review product availability and terms of sales • Arrange calibration of tools • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment • Manage purchasing department documentation and electronic files • Review / Analyse suppliers to ensure compliance is achieved by completing monthly trends analysis report • Analyse delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and suitability • Budgeting, costing, and cost-saving after reviewing the management information available • Check master job book F3199 and Purchase order electronic spreadsheets, taking time to ensure accuracy is always achieved Checks / Audits 1. Raise Purchase orders 2. Order materials / Parts and spares 3. Manage Calibrated tools 4. Internal Audits 5. Stock Control 6. Notify the office of New COSHH items purchased not currently on the register Skill Requirements / Qualifications / Experience • Creating Export Documentation • Shipping for the EU and Worldwide • Supply Chain • Dealing with Freight Forwarders • Booking and Planning Exports and Imports • Stock Control • Reporting • Invoice requests to accounts • Purchasing parts, materials, and machine components required for construction plant & Rail upgrades, repairs/service • Audits • Shipments via Sea, Air, and Land • Arrange Ad Hoc Transport requests • Check and GRN Delivery of goods • Ideally hold Fork Truck license and have a background in Plant operations of Rail and construction equipment • Continually monitor the trends in their supply environment and within their firms • Influencing and persuasion skills We invite suitably experienced candidates to apply by following the appropriate links or by contacting Recruit 2 You directly who are acting as an employment agency for this hire.
