Over the years, they have developed into a multi-functional group which successfully cover a number of sectors however the core functions of their business which includes deconstruction, structural alterations, temporary works and piling contributes £45M turnover to the overall group turnover of £70M. All of their operational and surveying team operate out of their newly refurbished central London office, which offers their employees the ability to jump on the train (if not walk) to their sites within 30 minutes. About the opportunity: Due to successful company expansion, my client is recruiting permanently for a Pre-Construction Assistant to join the team and work directly with the Preconstruction Director. This opportunity will suit a graduate who holds circa 2 years post graduate experience in demolition or the general construction industry. As a Preconstruction Assistant, you will be involved in tender production which will include the following: * Outsourcing quotations and support from regular contractors for the likes of scaffold, site services, engineering and temporary works * Materials take off and production of bill of quantities * Estimation and preparation of budgets and costings for tenders * An understanding of programme and planning of works * Attendance in meetings to support the bid team * Generate and follow up technical or commercial queries About the benefits and rewards: For this opportunity, my client is looking to target professionals looking to earn anywhere between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered which includes private health care, pension and all travel expenses will be covered. About the requirements: In order to be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will be degree qualified in a relevant subject and hold 2 years post graduate experience within the construction industry, working as a Preconstruction Assistant. Strong Microsoft excel skills are essential along with good communication and organisational skills. Experience in Asta, Revit, CAD and Bluebeam will be useful although not essential.
