Development Manager - Buildings
Pay; £21ph PAYE (umbrella option available)
Hours: Full time
Contract: 2 months initially
Scope: Inside IR-35
My public sector is looking for someone who holds a Full Membership of Appropriate Body CABE or RICS and up to date CPD record. You will be responsible for running of the business including workload management set prescribed charges, administer the Charges Regulations for the section and providing bespoke fee quotes and an inspection framework for all projects.
Competent in Plan Checking and carrying out site inspections on Institutional and other residential buildings and non-residential developments over 18 m high including offices, shops and commercial, assembly and recreation, industrial and storage and non – residential oversee major projects and specialist complex schemes Oversee and take action in relation to Contraventions, Reversions, Dangerous Structures, Demolition Notices and Street Naming and Numbering including enforcement procedures through to Court action.
Responsible for Sports Grounds Safety producing and reviewing policies, protocols, and reports to Exec Members; reviewing and issuing of the GSC.
Monitoring compliance with conditions and undertaking inspections of the Stadium at BWFC including during match day.
Also responsible for issuing special safety certificates for alternative uses of the stadium for concerts etc.
Providing performance returns to Exec Members and other bodies. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Participate in the Building Control Out of Hours Standby Rota for attendance at dangerous buildings respond to reports and instructing contractors.
Manage the consultation and authorise payment for the external checking of structural calculations on a weekly basis by external consultant.
Adhere to the Code of Conduct for Building Control Bodies and Professionals and the Professional Standards for Building Control Professionals and Building Control Bodies Head of Service; capable of managing staff at all levels, performance and quality management and handling complaints.
5 years relevant experience .
Registered Level 6 Fire Surveyor to work on HRRB’s and able to analyse suitability of Fire Engineered solutions
