Examples of types of construction: Residential, Commercial, Mixed Use, Healthcare, Education, Defence, etc Project highlights: * Mixed-use scheme - Commercial, Residential and Retail space - £100+ million. – Scope of works: Creation of high-end retail and office space, 30+ residential units and a new rooftop restaurant. * Commercial Refurbishment, London – Providing 7+ floors of office space and ground-floor retail * Iconic London's landmark – New Build * Central London – Retail / Commercial project - Demolition of an existing building and replacing it with a six-storey retail and office development * Project Development – Commercial property development from concept to market. * Hospital – part of a new biomedical campus, this centre will provide 300+ beds, 5+ operating theatres and labs. Role: Senior Planner – Bristol, UK – TIER 1 Main Contractor We currently have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Planner to join up with one of the UK's most recognised main contractors in their Bristol office! The role will involve putting together the programme of works for interesting projects across an array of sectors including commercial, education and residential. Candidates should be able to demonstrate robust planning and programming experience of project bids and live projects together with an experience of various different contract forms across various different construction industry sectors. Duties to include but not limited to: * Contribute to the overall planning process, maintaining a proactive and professional service to the planning, bid and project teams working to the guidelines of the planning and programming strategic plan. * Contribute towards the management of the bid and project planning / programming strategic plan * Assist the management team in preparation of method statements to meet the needs of the project * Manage the delivery and maintenance of all associated programmes as required by the bid and project planning and programming strategic plan - Including as a minimum, the Master Integrated Programme including Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Handover Programmes * Contribute towards the monitoring of progress and production of all internal and external progress reports for completion and delivery to the bid & project leadership teams, client and other parties in a timely and professional manner * Input and implementation of the project risk and opportunity management plan * Contribute towards the preparation and distribution of site organisation and logistics plans, including mechanical and non-mechanical plant utilisation and programme requirements, ensuring all relevant personnel are aware of the plan and their responsibilities in this area * Ensure Contractual and Change Management programme related aspects are fully complied with including preparation of any time entitlement documentation Things they are looking for: * Experience on major projects and different forms of construction and types of Contracts. * Excellent working knowledge of Planning Software (Asta PowerProject / Primavera) * HNC/Degree qualification in a construction related subject or trade qualifications * Member of professional institution (MCIOB) would be desirable
