Job Description

Our client based in Bedminster, Bristol is seeking a Purchase and Hire Administrator to join their team on a Permanent basis. Purchase and Hire Administrator Salary: £20,000 - £28,000, dependant on experience Purchase and Hire Administrator Key responsibilities will include: * Keep up to date on the company’s needs in order to procure supplies and hire equipment when necessary. * Creation of purchase orders on systems and data entry, gaining necessary approvals. * Perform price and quality comparisons and supplier negotiations to secure best price and payment terms. * Liaising with site teams to ensure goods are received in full, on time and in working order / good condition. Investigate and resolving any order discrepancies. * Checking of invoices and following up on supplier queries and disputes through to resolution. * Ability to influence, encourage, challenge and negotiate with colleagues and suppliers. * Networking to locate new suppliers and maintain existing relationships. * Manage processes to ensure effectiveness and accuracy. * Reporting on purchases / hires and performing cost analyses. * Any other adhoc duties / general office administration that may occur from time to time. Purchase and Hire Administrator Requirements: You will have experience of working within the Construction/Demolition/Plant industry as well as using Sage, MS Suite & Excel applications.
