Job Description

The CCDO Demolition Refurbishment Operative will have two years industry experience and be looking to progress their career to the next level.

Certification:  CCDO

Duration:  1 day

Valid for:  3/5 years

Cost:  £200  (non members £270)

CCDO DEMOLITION AND REFURBISHMENT OPERATIVE COURSE DETAILS

This course qualifies individuals in the demolition of non-load bearing structures and the removal of fixtures and fittings, providing the operative has the appropriate tools/skills training in the equipment required to undertake the task. The Demolition Refurbishment Operative will also be qualified to use mechanical hand tools.

Demolition Refurbishment Operatives may take additional training to be qualified in Working At Height or Safe Oxygen/Fuel Cutting. These skills do not form part of this qualification but may be taken as additional skills training.

The CCDO Demolition & Refurbishment Red card is initially valid for 3 years to enable a period of getting the knowledge obtained put into practice. During this 3-year window, they must complete the NVQ Level 2 in Demolition Operations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

 

  • Candidates must have at least two years experience as a Demolition Labourer.
  • Candidates require a Demolition Specialist or above Health, Safety and Environment Test Pass and a Current Approved Asbestos Awareness certificate (not e-learning).

The Red Demolition and Refurbishment Operative card is non-renewable. Candidates have 3 years to pass the relevant NVQ to become a qualified CCDO Demolition and Refurbishment Operative and be issued a Blue CCDO Demolition & Refurbishment Operative card. The Blue Demolition & Refurbishment Cards are renewable every 5 years.
