The CCDO Demolition Topman will have 5 years industry experience and be looking to move towards managing a small team.
The Topman qualification encompasses all of the roles of the Demolition Refurbishment Operative and also allows for the demolition of load-bearing walls and structures by hand. As well as significant on-the-job experience, a CCDO Demolition Topman will have skills training in a range of equipment to undertake demolition works by hand including Safe Oxygen/Fuel Cutting, Working At Height, working to method statements and pre-planned cutting sequences.
The Topman will be coordinated and supervised by either a CCDO Chargehand or CCDO Site Supervisor.
The CCDO Topman Red card is initially valid for 3 years to enable a period of getting the knowledge obtained to be put into practice. In order to qualify for the CCDO Topman Blue card, the operative must pass the relevant NVQ within a 3 year period.
