A Demolition Site Supervisor will have 5 years experience in a Topman or Chargehand role and be ready to take on further responsibility for supervising all levels of labourers within a demolition site.
A CCDO Demolition Supervisor might be responsible for deputising for the Site Manager on larger Demolition Sites depending on the activity or scope of the works or may run their own sites autonomously, reporting into a regional demolition Site Manager. The CCDO Supervisor does not get involved in the physical demolition activity unless demonstrating a technique to an apprentice/operative.
CCDO Demolition Site Supervisors are required to achieve the NVQ L3+, (or optionally the L4) Site Supervision qualification.
The Red Supervisor card is non-renewable. Candidates have 3 years to pass the relevant NVQ to become a qualified CCDO Supervisor and be issued with a Gold CCDO Supervisor Card. Gold CCDO Supervisor cards are renewable every 5 years.
