Job Description

Are you interested in helping to deliver an infrastructure/station led regeneration scheme in South East London? Do you have strong client side project management experience?  This position will find you assisting in the supervision of construction works across phase 1. You will also deliver detailed design across Phase 2 & 3 and procure, appoint and supervise a Main Contractor. Technical scope will include refurbishment of Rail arches, demolition of buildings in close proximity to a live rail line and construction of new public realm works. Construction value for Phase 2 & 3 will be around 15M. It is envisaged that you will also assist on other developments (commercial/residential/regenration) that have a high rail interface. Projects in the main are London based. Hybrid working is offered meaning you will work from home, from site and sometimes from the office. You will be joining an internationally renowned Consultancy who are recognised as one of the UK’s best places to work. Typical responsibilities will include: Managing design development, procurement and construction of the works Assisting the client to develop the project brief Drafting programmes Supporting the client during the planning process and post consent, monitor the discharge of project planning conditions. Developing procurement strategy Producing monthly dashboard reports, including risk and cost Managing the designing process including development of design for planning and for tender Acting as employers agent and administer the construction contracts including monitoring the contractor performance Working with the contractor to establish the project completion strategy Monitoring the identification, notification and correction of defects prior to completion Undertaking health and safety tours of the site What do you need to be succesful? A degree qualification in civil engineering or project management Membership of the association for project management or another professional body Demonstrable experience as working as a Project Manager on a similar project Knowledge of Network Rail asset protection processes and procedures The salary range is between 50,000 - 60,000 and you will also receive benefits such as car allowance, private medical insurance, enhanced contribution pension, excellent holiday allowance and paid professional subscription “People Group is an equal opportunity employer.
