Job Description

The purpose of the role is to support environmental closure and demolition restoration organisation programme of work. The job holder is responsible for providing technical support for site environmental activities. Key responsibilities: Implement the environmental management processes & standards, within the Integrated Management System are appropriate to deliver the environmental characterisation, remediation and restoration requirements Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders on environmental issues Review/prepare safe system of work documentation including work scope and hazard reviews, work scheduling and interactions Monitor contractors against technical specifications and contract requirements Participate in field based activities, including sampling, radiometric surveys and maintaining documentation Support sampling and analysis data management and evaluation including EMPROG and characterisation/monitoring Perform the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to post Qualifications and Experience: HNC in Engineering/Scientific or equivalent qualification plus experience Experience; 2 years nuclear/industrial Performing environmental sampling, desirable but not essential Reviewing and interpreting analytical results, desirable but not essential Environmental sampling instrumentation desirable, but not essential Variety of software packages including a proficiency in Microsoft Excel Site systems such as Works Control Hold a valid UK driving licence Excellent organisational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills Please note the position involves both inside and outside work, whatever the weatherOur role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
