CITB Site Manager Safety (SMSTS) training held in Maidstone, Kent.

Designed for existing/new site managers and persons who are responsible for administering groups of staff on construction sites. Delegates will gain an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues as well as the moral and social duties of being a site manager. The CITB SMSTS training is industry-recognised and ideal for companies that need to show evidence of health and safety compliance.

Successful delegates will receive a CITB Site Managers Safety Training Certificate. Trainees will need to take the SMSTS Refresher course before the certificate expires.

Is your company a CITB Levy payer? If your company employs less than 99 PAYE employees, you could apply for a CITB Skills & Training fund to cover part or all of your planned training.

Can be run over 5 consecutive days, 1 day per week over 5 weeks or split over 2 weeks.

This is a five-day course with home study set on days 1 through to 4, which all delegates must complete.  During the five days, operatives will be set group tasks which they must complete successfully.

This course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the construction and civil engineering industries. This course covers the fundamentals of the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle to ensure that all delegates are familiar with successful health and safety management. Topics include;

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for existing site managers looking to obtain formal training on a recognised scheme, or for experienced supervisors looking to break into a management role.

Assessment

The coursework completed by each delegate is assessed by the tutor throughout the course.  On day five of the course, a 30 minute multiple choice question paper, complete with safety critical questions must be successfully completed to pass the course.
