This well run, and financially stable regional building contractor has a full order book for 2022/23, and is looking to expand its team accordingly with the addition of a Site Manager.
The company carries out new build, & large refurbishments across a range of sectors up to a project value of circa £7m. Sectors include commercial, residential, education, sport & leisure and automotive.
They have an immediate need for an experienced No1 Site Manager to manage a new build luxury car dealership project in Maidenhead, Berkshire. This 60 week project valued at £1.5m, and the work comprises a part demolition, refurbishment and new build steel frame extension to the existing facility. There will also be an element of externals works to the car-park, with associated groundworks.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working on a variety of high end projects, especially within the specialist car showroom sector.
The site manager will take the job from start to finish and will be expected to be a "proper" stand-alone No1 on site; looking after the following:
• Managing day to day activities on site of the site team and sub-contractors
• Sub-contract and material procurement
• Construction plan
• Health & Safety
• Progress reports and site meetings
• Programming - long and short term
• Quality control
• Liaison with the design team, M&E consultants, project architect, structural engineer and building control
The ideal site manager must / have:
• CSCS (Black or Gold), SMSTS and First Aid at Work
• Have a proven track record of new build / refurb projects at a similar project value
