Job Description

A Contracts Manager is required ASAP to work for a Building Company at their offices in Wolverhampton. This company have been in operation for over 60 years and specialise in a wide range of services including demolition, groundworks, restoration & maintenance to name a few within the Commercial, Public or Domestic sectors. You will be responsible for covering domestic and commercial projects ranging from £100 to £1.5m, the right Contracts Manager will be experienced, highly motivated and able to provide a high-class finish to all projects. Contracts Manager – Position Overview * Complete Management of assigned projects * Responsible for day-to-day activities on multiple sites * Assist with variations and estimating where necessary * Arrange adequate resources for project delivery, safety and standards of work * Monitor safety, liaising with directors, the Health and Safety team and site staff as required * Monitor the competence of site staff and sub-contractors in line with the company policies and procedures on safety, welfare and environment * Oversee all aspects of site management on your sites, regularly visiting to inspect, offer support and adherence to agreed program/ quality and building regulations * Manage the overall job performance. Work with the commercial team on cost advice, unexpected works, understand the tender and agreed standards. Provide recourses to enable customer care issues to be resolved effectively * Manage effective communication between site and office * Prepare invoices and ensure they are distributed within correct timescales * Prepare subcontractor and material orders * Prepare and submit valuations Contracts Manager – Position Requirements * Experience required in delivering successful construction projects to tight time and budget constraints * Relevant qualifications preferred. SSSTS or SMSTS desirable * Construction background, ideally with a trade base * Full understanding of building regulations * Full understanding of Health and Safety * Experience in a Contracts Manager position * Full understanding of computer systems – word/excel/office etc * Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills * Very strong organisational skills * Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner * Clean driving license Contracts Manager - Position Remuneration * Salary £30,000 plus other benefits to be discussed at interview stage * Company vehicle * Monday to Friday * 28 days holiday including bank holidays * Company Pension Scheme Streamline Search are acting as a recruitment agency on behalf of this vacancy
