Job Description

A major civil engineering contractor is recruiting a Site Engineer for upcoming major work in Plymouth. The role is based at Devonport where large infrastructure packages of work will be released over the next 5 - 8 years' which offers a local person security and longevity of being close to home. The scope of works comprises of the civil engineering aspects to redevelop multiple docks in the port which will include demolition, installing cofferdams, constructing new sea walls, large reinforced concrete structures, roads and services. Enabling works are starting imminently with full construction works anticipated to start this summer. The business has a excellent relationships with the ICE and an experienced team to support your development and chosen career path, whether that's into management, engineering, planning or design. Site Engineer duties include: Setting out with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations) Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management) Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD The Site Engineer must have at least 6 months engineering and setting out experience with a minimum of a HNC/HND in Engineering.
