About this Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor required to work as No2 to the Commercial Manager on a £48m new build healthcare development in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Reporting to the site based Commercial Manager and working with an Intermediate and Assistant Surveyor on site, you will be responsible for input to all commercial aspects including: sub-contract procurement, management of sub-contractor accounts, undertaking measurement and valuations for payments, pricing and agreeing variations, early warning notices and compensation events, applications to client for interim payments, financial forecasting and CVRs, settlement of subcontractor final accounts, through to the agreement of client final account. The scheme is secured on a P22+ framework, so experience of this and/or the NEC3 form of contract would be advantageous. This is a progressive Senior Quantity Surveyor role with ongoing development, and excellent promotional prospects within the business. The scheme comprises demolition of the existing building and a new build RC framed healthcare building and car-park to be constructed over a two year period, commencing in the summer 2022. This is a secured contract and there is a long-term pipeline of work in the area with the same client, both along the south coast and up the A3M into Surrey. About the Company/Client/Project: This role is with the busy regional division of a leading Tier 1 main contractor, with a proven track record in the healthcare, student accommodation, commercial and high end residential schemes ranging in value from £20m- £100m. Requirements including certificates and qualifications: You will have a proven track record of successful project delivery in a similar role ideally with a Tier 1 main contractor. Previous experience of working on P21/2 healthcare schemes and the NEC3 form of contract would be advantageous. This role will require the ability to work well within a small commercial team, as part of a larger project team. Good communication skills essential. This would suit an ambitious/experienced QS looking to make the move up or an established SQS.
