You can be working on a large refurbishment of large commercial space one day, to working on a demolition the other, to refurb of homeless shelter, to repurpose of Charity shop, or maybe work on a church. What you might not know is that they have over 3000 properties nationwide, which is why this job can give such variety, ranging from Churches and farm yards to large shelter homes and commercial buildings and everything in between. The Salvation army has had a lot of positive changes in it’s property team over the last few months, with them extending their team with over 40 people, so great time to join the expansion with great career progression. Your projects will be high value maintenance works starting from £300k as well as refurbishments and new builds moving up into the multi-million-pound brackets. You will also be working closely with all stakeholders to define project goals, building relations with all involved from inception to completion. There are no direct reports, but you will be responsible for appointing and managing contractors on site, as well as costs & programme management. This is a regional role covering all the beautiful and wonderful parts of Scotland, so chance to travel around, while all expenses paid for. Majority of work is between Glasgow to Edinburgh, so not too much travel involved.
