About the Role: My client require a well-established and highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial aspects of the complete refurbishment of a large office space in Central London. This £15m project includes asbestos removal, internal demolition & rebuild followed by a full internal fit-out to CAT A. This JCT 2 Stage contract will be the responsibility of the Lead QS, so experience on this type of contract is a must. This project is already underway, so it will require a well-experienced QS with a strong personality to come on board and grab the project by the horns, taking the lead of the commercial team, getting to know the ins and out of the project, and keeping the client and supply chain on-side. The successful candidate will be the lead QS for the project, reporting into the Divisional Commercial Manager with an eye for progression onto numerous other projects within the same division. About the benefits / rewards: The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience on related projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary of around £70,000 – £80,000. The package will also include various benefits relating to travel, pension and healthcare. This role will offer the opportunity for vertical progression within this growing organsisation. Requirements: Candidates must have extensive industry experience, directly relating to commercial refurbishment work and must have worked in similar or higher positions in top tier or similarly set up main contractors. They must be easily able to manage motivate themselves and their team. * Stable Background – Only a handful of previous employers * To be degree qualified in Quantity surveying or Construction Management * Experience of 2 stage tender projects * Hands on approach and can do attitude * Experienced in setting up and running similar projects * Understanding of funding and financing routes * Experience of working in large organisations * Proactive in learning with ability to influence others * A good communicator, able to interact with clients in a positive engaging manner * A team player Send CV applications to Alex or call (phone number removed)
