Project Manager – New Build Residential Project
£70k-£80k plus package including travel allowance, pension & bonuses
Our client is a leading multi-disciplined Main Contractor who specialise in new build residential & student accommodation schemes within the South-East, including areas such as Surrey, Kent, Essex, North London & the surrounding areas. Our client undertakes the full project-lifecycle and offer a one-stop shop for their clients. They are currently working on 8 live projects and boast an extremely strong reputation in the industry.
They are currently looking for a Project Manager to lead a 100-unit residential scheme. This will involve demolition/remediation at the beginning of the project and is split between 3-8 storey buildings. which is a mixture of 1-, 2- & 3-bedroom dwellings. It also includes a commercial premises on the ground floor. The approximate value is circa £12m. The building work is due to start in August and due for completion in September 2023.
Thereafter, you will move over to another brand-new development which will likely be similar size scheme.
The candidate must have a track record of delivering similar projects, on time, maintaining H&S standards with a minimum of support from HQ. The candidate needs to be able to produce & manage the programme, the design process and all aspects associated with delivery. It is essential that this candidate has worked on projects that involve heavy facades work.
This is a long-term, permanent position and you will be given the opportunity to become a key part of the business for many years to come.
The role of the Project Manager:
Reporting into the Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Overall responsibility to successfully deliver the projects on time and within agreed budget
Managing all direct operatives and sub-contractors, ensuring planned works are completed on time, whilst minimizing disruption to residents and the public
Working closely with the supply chain and clients, providing market leading technical expertise
Ensure all permits and licenses are in place from appropriate authorities To be successful as a Project Manager you will need to possess the following:
Experience working with a specialist residential, new build or refurbishment contractor
Be able to start within 4 weeks
