Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working on an exclusive basis with a well established and growing construction group in Hull. Established in 1996, the firm operates across a number of related sectors including construction, civil engineering, demolition, logistics, waste management and in the supply of building materials and has grown these respective divisions to a collective group turnover of around £125 Million.
Due to a recent internal promotion, they have a current need to bring in an additional Management Accountant to work closely with the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director as a part of a dedicated team of Management Accountants who all focus on a specific area of the business. This particular role will have autonomy and responsibility for 2 large and high-growth entities within their building materials division. Turnover for this area of the business is circa £20 Million.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a progressive and ambitious individual who can come in as Management Accountant, learn the business and progress to a Divisional Finance Manager role as the business continues to grow and therefore in a position to offer greater responsibility and career development.
This is a varied role with duties to include: -
-Full Production of Management Accounts for 2 business entities (Including P&L and Balance Sheet)
-Balance Sheet Reconciliations
-Conducting variance analysis on accounts (Actual Vs Budget)
-Feeding information into the group accounts and supporting where necessary
-Dealing with invoice financing and reconciliations
-Production and analysis of MI
-Working closely with commercial and operational teams and providing business partnering support to drive MI, budgets and forecasts
-Monitoring and analysis of departmental KPIs
-Production of various financial reports including daily uploads, drawdowns, sales reporting and cashflow reporting
-Budgeting and Forecasting
-Continuous improvement of processes and systems
-Any other ad-hoc duties
The ideal person will have the following attributes: -
-CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA Qualified (Qualified by experience will also be considered)
-Technically astute
-Good analytical skills
-Strong communication and business partnering skills
-Dynamic and intelligent, able to pick things up quickly
-Work as apart of a team as well as on own
-Construction sector experience would be ideal although not essential
-Good IT skills (Especially Excel) - Experience of using Sage would be preferable
The role offers a competitive base salary of up to £45,000 (dependent on experience), auto enrolment pension, 23 days holiday + stats. This role will be based in the office 5 days a week.
